Thank you for viewing.

This is a collection of books and pamphlets featuring the works of interior designer Shiro Kuramata.

【Shiro Kuramata 1934-1991】
- Published: 1996, First Edition, English and Japanese
- Edited by: Hara Museum of Contemporary Art
- Supervised by: Ikko Tanaka
- Published by: Arc-en-Ciel Art Foundation
- Includes a yellow, separate-print floor plan of the exhibition venue (drawings by Ettore Sottsass). See photos 6, 7, and 8.

This is the exhibition catalog (collection of works) from the Shiro Kuramata exhibition, which toured the world starting at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art. It introduces his works, such as furniture and lighting fixtures, chronologically. This catalog feels like a gathering of artists who admired him, who passed away suddenly at the age of 56 in 1991. The opening features an essay "Warrior's Rest" by Arata Isozaki, and the exhibition design was handled by Ettore Sottsass, along with the words "To Shiro."

* The nylon cover has slight soiling, and there is some age-related discoloration along the binding of the cover (a slight yellowing). See photo 5. The inside is in a clean, undamaged condition.
